Potparti

by Bill Day and Zeb Millett

DARK COMEDY

LOGLINE
Steve attempts to outdo his ex-wife by throwing a competing
Labor Day party, before realizing he has no friends.

PITCHLINE(S)
Just because it's Labor Day doesn't mean this should be so hard.

There will only be one downer at this party, and I'm not talking about quaaludes.

TAGLINE(S)
Showing up is the only favor at this party.

The party isn't over until everyone discreetly leaves.

Party like you have never partied before. Ever.

Pin the tail on this!

Parties come and parties go, sort of like this one.

SHORT SYNOPSIS
Steve’s wife has left him. He loses his job, his car is towed, and he is utterly broke. Immune to life lessons, Steve forges ahead to prove to his wife that though she may have won over their friends, he can still outdo her in the party department. Except that, well, he can’t.
